Hi! I’m Colleen Kern.
I help busy professionals take back control of their health. I use lasting techniques that fit into their unique lifestyles by providing accountability and helping them conquer stress so they can FINALLY reach their goals!.
Healthy. Happy. Authentic..
It’s about enjoying your life AND feeling healthy and happy.
I focus a lot on stress management, what that means, and being mindful. But there is more to my health vision. I believe in good sleep and good eats. Nutrition that integrates more than just food for your body, but food for your soul too, including relationships, career, body movement, and spiritual practice. All of which are incorporated into your wellness goals.
While that might seem a little much, I guarantee we’re more alike than you think.
I grew up in the Finger Lakes Region of New York and have lived in San Diego (6 months), New Orleans (6 years), and now Colorado Springs, Colorado.
I understand the unique challenges you face in the professional and corporate world because I use to be where you are. Before becoming a Lifestyle and Health Coach, I spent just over 10 years in various accounting roles working in corporations, small, mid-size, and big-4 accounting firms. I understand the stressful deadline driven environment and unhealthy lifestyles we all default to when we feel there isn’t enough time in the day.
I understand chronic illness and pain. My health battles have spanned 20 years and multiple diagnoses. Treatments included 3 top national medical centers, regional experts, several Western methodologies, various Eastern methodologies, numerous diet alterations and a few “woo-woo” and alternative medicine methodologies. For better and worse, some things in all categories have worked while some were complete bunk.
After the combined lifestyle of being a chronically ill and stressed CPA for 10 years, I decided something had to give and that my current career no longer served me. I felt compelled not only to learn more about nutrition but to help others navigate the uncertainty of changing health recommendations or reaching their health goals.
So I did.
In March 2017, I completed my certificate as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I’ve successfully managed my chronic health conditions and feel better than I have in years.
Helping people overcome stress and achieve their wellness goals is a passion of mine. I am committed to assisting others to take back control of their health and wellness.
